EU project E-CRIME developing measures to manage and deter European cyber-crime

The EU project E-CRIME is busy developing concrete measures to manage and deter European cyber-crime through reconstruction of the spread and development of cyber-crime in non-information and communications technology sectors from the perspective of its economic impact on the key fabrics and different levels of European society.

E-CRIME is focusing on:

  1. Mapping the observable developments and effects of cyber-crime within and among non-ICT sectors, Member States and diverse stakeholder communities.
  2. Assessing existing counter-measures.
  3. Measuring the economic impact of cyber-crime on non-information and communications technology sectors.
  4. And developing concrete inter-sector solutions to address cyber-crime.
